Ok, so I've been at it again instead of cleaning my basement, but oh well - for a great cause!

Outside (says have a Merry Christmas)

Inside

The tree trunks are wooden buttons I got in a barter (thanks, WhiteRaven!), the rest is just cardstock, paper, adhesives and my rubber stamps.

I just thought that if there was a lady patient at Walter Reed, I'm sure she doesn't get much chance to be too girly - a nice mauve/berry card might be nice.

Thanks for the information Ann. I really like your blog. I have a 20% off coupon for Michael's valid after Thanksgiving, so I'll take a look at what they have.

Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

There are kits available - check scrapbook.com and paperwishes.com. You can also go to Michael's or Joann's and pick up blank greeting cards of various sizes, as well as all the papers and doodads you could ever dream of to embellish them. You can also do stamps (check out Stampin Up and Close To My Heart and at craft stores).

These cards were in the Dec 2007 issue of Country Living. It's very simple to do. You just cut two slits for every pop up, then push that area to the inside of the card and crease. If I'd known it was that easy, and this addictive, I would have been doing these for a long time!

How adorable! I want to learn how to make cards. Is there a kit or website for beginners?
