Here is a tutorial I found for making them. She makes it look easy, but I haven't made them yet. Good luck!

i have made them before....trying to remember. i know that you can lay the sheet over the mattress, then pinch the edges and pin all the way down the (at each corner) then remove from the mattress and sew down at the pinned spots. Then check to make sure it works. Then cut the excess off, or sort of round them off and put an elastic edging all the way around- each corner. i think that my centers were actually kind of flappy- so i ended up putting elastic across them to keep them from sneaking up. i am not sure if that makes sence or helps. good luck!

I was going to have my aunt make some out of fleece for me. My son wouldn't sleep with covers and it was a cold house. Then we moved so didn't need them.

BUT... She is a life long follower of Fons and Porter quilt magazine and there was a pattern in one of their mags. Course it was one she didn't seem to have and the quilt shop in IA didn't have it either. But maybe you can find a copy of the mag or the pattern. I couldn't find anything with a quick search of their site http://www.fonsandporter.com//aspx/FonsandPorter/default.aspx
But maybe you can find some back issues at the library or from someone who quilts.

This was in 2005 so start checking there, and go back. I hope this helps.
