I'm working on a fast baby blanket for our 5th gbaby due this Nov.
I thought I might get an easy knitted blanket so I chose what I thought would be easy and fast. I have come to a hault. Its been pretty much (k) and (p) until row 11 came up, HELP!!!!
Row 10: k5, k2tog across row to last 5 sts, k5
Row 11: k5, *k in bar before next st, k1, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k5
I got row 10 done but I don't understand what row 11 means, what is "knit in bar"?

I'm getting er done, thanks Linda and Jenny. I'm a knittin now. Using #10 1/2 needles, this blanket won't take to long.

Yep...thats how I would read it..basically you are making two stitches where one would be..putting the first one in the little loop before the stitch, and the second one in the regular place. Funny how they call it a bar..I would call it a loop..but thats me.

Look for the thread of yarn that goes between the stitches of the previous row. Pick it up with the left needle so that it looks like this \ on the needle. It should be come from back to front. Knit this by slipping the tip of the right needle under the thread at the front of the left needle and knit as usual. Hope this helps
