Posted - Nov 30 2008 : 1:09:42 PM Mary Beth, The leaves are so pretty!!!Oh how I wish I had fall leaves around here, but there are no pretty leaves in the desert! I grew up in Ohio and there were all kinds of trees with different colored leaves in the fall and it was always so beautiful! I even asked my mom to send me some, but they never really changed color before the snow at her house!

Posted - Oct 02 2008 : 2:26:08 PM I just picked some small fallen leaves. I think I will iron them and put a few sparkles on them and put them in a tiny vase. They look like they are glowing. In the mean time here they are.

Posted - Sep 29 2008 : 8:21:27 PM Nancy Jo, Remember we did this last year. It was all so fun and we had pictures and everything. I will have to go way back and look them up. If you have a coffee table or any table with a glass top you could put them under the glass. MB

Posted - Sep 29 2008 : 6:01:20 PM Yes....great ideas but like Julie....our leaves are just starting to change here a little bit...like the sassafras leaves which are about the first ones to change. I like the garland idea with leaves and acorns too! My daughter and I absolutely adore Fall and we usually exchange a little box of "stuff" for Halloween/Fall celebration. That would be a very economical gift to include! Thanks for the great ideas....if I EVER have one (a great idea) I'll let you guys know!?!?!

Posted - Sep 29 2008 : 1:25:46 PM I absolutely love the paraffin idea!! You could also "string" them with fishing line to make a very nice garland. Maybe alternate with acorns or pincones and even add some golden rod? Play around with it.

Posted - Sep 29 2008 : 06:33:55 AM One year I dipped my leaves in parafin wax. They look good as new for a long time. I haven't done that in a while but I think I might this year and send them to my mom in Montana. Give her a little piece of my home.

Posted - Sep 28 2008 : 6:21:34 PM Those leaves would look beautiful spread out on top of a lace tablecloth. The waxed paper would keep them from getting wet. Also you could find some branches and after cutting them out attatch them to a string and hang each from different parts of the branches.

Posted - Sep 28 2008 : 5:55:36 PM I trim around them but be sure to leave a border of wax paper and hang them in sunny windows. I can't believe you already have leaves to press. Ours are still all green.
