Man, this is the COOLEST. How I have I not known about these? All you farmgirls with loads of great fabric - you need to hem up some fabric squares, different sizes, and then you can use them to make amazing shopping bags, gift bags, and gift wrap. To see what I am talking about, check out this great site:

http://www.furoshiki.com

I use their easy instructions for giftwrapping all the time now!

and here is a good video as well:

I have always preferred to give gifts unwrapped, or wrapped in something beautiful and re-usable. this is PERFECT!

Or just cut some fabric with pinking shears?? I see NO reason these should be expensive! I put a cute picture on my blog of one that was made just using an inexpensive bandanna that you'd buy at a dime store! Or a small tablecloth found at a gargage sale or something?? they can be any/all sizes, any kind of material!!!

Just a thought here, for the non sewing people. Why couldn't you use a fuse web stuff, that you can use for heming? Fold your raw edges over, and slip in the piece of fuse stuff, and iron away. Wish I could think of what it is called, Darn it. :)

Those are adorable. I wish they weren't so expensive though. I also wish I could sew & make my own. Last year the Chicago Tribune newspaper had an article about this & how to make your own.

Wow, that's a word I wasn't expecting to see today. My husband turned up a couple of these in some old boxes in the attic this spring, and we sold them at our garage sale. Now that I see how they work, maybe I'll make some new ones and start using them.
