Hi everyone who wants to get in on this. this will just be a Quilt sewing along. I will be putting a new block or 2 every month and here is what you will need for the quilt. you will need 28 different assorted printed fat quarters. now you can do this all so it coordinates or all different and make a scrappy one. but you need 28 fat quarters and then 1 yard of fabric for blocks and #1 border, and 2 2/3 yards for blocks and border #2, and one more 1 7/8 yards for blocks and binding. Those are 3 different fabrics that go with your fat quarters. They can all be different for a scrappy look. Hope that is clear if not email and let me know. Beverley with an extra E

Well I have decided for me it is easiest to send everyone an email from me all at once and just include the instructions for that month so if everyone will send me their emails I will put you all in a group and do it that way . Sound Ok? Beverley

Should I send the patterns to each person individual or to the thread on the forum? What is your thoughts? Beverley

Hi Beverley,

Will you be sure to give us the name of the blocks? I keep a file with all my templates and names straight. I made a nine patch sampler quilt a few years back and it was so much fun. All hand made and quilted. I have tons of fabric so I'm ready when you are. lol

There are 4 inch, 8 inch and 12 inch blocks that can be interchanged. So the first ones will be some of the 4 inch ones. There are actually I think 22 blocks but it is because they are different sizes so you need 2, 4 inch ones to match up with an eight inch one and stuff like that. Beverley

I will love it, I love to quilt and its a delightful change not planning. I was thinking solids for backgrounds, does that sound alright? How many blocks are there? I am a little excited.

I am going to the scrappy method too. I am just going to use different ones from my stash for the different squares so I am not buying anything hopefully. I might have to buy some of the #1, #2, #3 background fabrics so maybe they kinda match up when I go to put them together later. I will put the first blocks up soon. I was trying to give a lot of people a chance to see the fabrics and then get started. I am going to try to start with easiest blocks and get a little more difficult each month. Hope you will all like it. Beverley with an extra E

I know I have enough fabrics to do a scrappy. So I am ready with fabric and thread. When first block coming? Just a wondering... no hurry.

My plan is to decide on a couple of main colors/fabrics and make the first block...moving on from there making decisions one block at a time. I probably will pick up fabrics as I go along. I am an artist so this works for me...winging it as I go along.
