I need an idea of a small, crochet related gift for a new crochet person - I'd like to encourage her. Any ideas? Thanks!

Great ideas everyone!! Jenny, what is the medallion yarn cutter? I'm not familiar with those? They sound cool!

Or one of the little medallion yarn cutters? I have one now..would have loved one a long time ago. They look cool and are very handy..not something you would buy for yourself. Or a really cute pair of little scissors or a fun tote for carrying your small project (I like zippered cloth bags)

Sherri, you could always put together a little basket with maybe some crochet hooks, yarns and a small pattern book!

Thanks Bonne - that's a great idea. I crochet, but I've never seen a crochet magazine. I'll have to check them out.

Besides the obvious hooks (wood is a nice gifty thought) and yarn, how about a subscription to a crochet magazine. Crochet Today, Crochet!, Interweave Crochet etc.
