...too big for cotton nr. 10 ??

I am in the process of making something for the Christmas ornament swap
and my patterns says to use a steel hook nr. 7 for nr. 10 cotton !
Now I believe that is SO big!! Am I wrong?

i am working on a christening set out of size 10 thread, and the pattern calls for a size 7 hook. the bonnet turned out to be a perfect fit for a newborn.

Oké, thanks! I had tried too LOL but thought it looked so big. But maybe I should just do that as a trial and see how it looks when I am finished, DUH!!

Thanks anyway

Hugs.

I just tried the steel hook #7 with some size 10 thread..works just fine..and Of course, you can always use a larger hook if you want some of the ornaments to be larger.
