Hey there gals....I just popped in today to say hi! It seems that I just cannot catch up with everything here on the forum, but I think of you all so often. I have been sewing when I get a chance...usually very early in the morning. Farm chores have kept me busy the rest of the summer. I posted my latest aprons on my blog...thought you might like to check them out! I have been feeling a bit romantic of late...my patterns seem to be evolving that way!

Good for you Bev! I'm glad you choose to sew because you do it sooooo well. And of course, all of your new apron designs cause my heart to flutter...ya know how I love the embellishments!

Your aprons have transformed from very pretty to fabulous wearable art. And of course, it always tells a story, doesn't it?

So girls take her suggestion on just playing with pattern pieces and letting your imagination go...so ya know that means "no rules". Whatever you think looks good, try it!

For those of you that don't have a sewing machine or are still not quite sure of the sewing machine then by all means start an apron and sew it all by hand...those embellishments and the handsewing is like the best part of it for me!

Bev, I read your blog daily so I won't miss a thing.

Hugs…

Stephanie

Beverly:
By reading your post, I have a yearning to try my hand at making an apron, which I have never done. Sewing is not easy for me. But, I will give it a try.
I'd love to see some of your aprons.

Believe me, I miss chatting with you all, too. It just seems that the computer is a big time gobbler if I am not careful...and it is either chat or sew....right now not enough time to chat. BTW we are demolishing the farmhouse late Fall and starting the log cabin...so maybe come Fall I will have more down time....at least until time to pack comes around!! I will be back in full force when time permits. Until then, I hope all is wonderful with each of you...and know that you are in my heart and my thoughts everyday! Thanks for checking in on me! (I do check all your blogs a couple times a week.)

Thanks all....YOU don't need to be taught.....you just start with a little idea and keep adding to it....it is a journey (at least it has been for me) with twists and turns along the way. Just let your imagination go crazy!! It is fun to use bits and pieces from different apron patterns...combine them to create your own look!

Beverly, Your aprons are beautiful. Looking at all of your pictures on your blog sure makes me homesick for Ohio. I grew up 45 miles south of Cleveland in the country and I really miss grass and trees. I have been through Pennsylvania quite a few times. I love Franklin because it has all these beautiful victorian houses and this wonderful town square. We don't have much grass here in the Arizona desert unless it rains, which isn't often and even then it's usually just weeds. Oh well! Thank you for sharing your pictures!!
