Here is my new creation... a seed organizer I recycled a box that I had, covered it with scrapbook paper... which takes awhile due to the fact that each side has to be smooth and dry before moving on. Then I embellished the lid, labeling it so I will know what's in it. Of course, you can make these to store ANYTHING that suits your fancy...recipes, buttons, letters...etc. The sky is the limit. I didn't have to buy anything extra, which is a big plus, it's pretty, functional, and recycled!

Hey Karen, I'm gonna try to work as long as possible. Since we haven't sold our house yet, I need to try to save as much as possible so that I can be home longer... I planned on staying home until Cooper is older, but that's not possible until we sell Makes me depressed to thing about. N-E-Ways, I can't wait to post his pics!... Can't wait till he's HERE!

Cecily, Thanks for the directions, I will have to get me some rubber cement. Then I cant wait to get started. How much longer are you going to try to work? My feet always swole bad too, when I was pregnant. Maybe it wont be much longer. Cant wait to see Coopers pics. Karen

That is adorable. It certainly would solve my problem of missing seed packets or worse yet the drawer being filled with a mix of seeds I no longer recognize!

Thanks for sharing your great idea and project.

Hey Stephanie! Thanks for the compliment I'm feeling okay, except that my poor feet are SO swollen that they are unrecognizable! They hurt when I walk, too. I am still working, which isn't much help. Hopefully all the swelling will go away when Cooper comes... which I hope is very soon!

what a great idea! Mine get stuck in the back of the utility drawer or fall out of the envelope onto the bottom of the utility drawer especially if they are small. This is a handy way to keep them safe til spring!

Karen, here are the directions: First gather all of your supplies: Paper, scissors, adhesive of choice... rubber cement is good for a smooth finish when adhering the paper, embellishments for the lid. 1st you will want to wrap your box. I find it easier to coat one side of the box with my rubber cement and lay it flat on the paper, let dry, then coat the next side of the box and turn the box to that side flat on your paper and so on. You will have to cut the corners on the excess pieces of paper hanging off so that you can turn them under your box and secure it with adhesive. Do the same with the lid. I hope this is making sense. If not, you can wrap your box however you are comfortable doing so. Next, embellish the lid with whatever you want... the time it takes soley depends on how creative you get. You can use ribbon, chip board letters or designs, make yo-yos from material for 'flowers,' buttons... You decide :o) If you want to decorate your chip board letters, I would decorate them before you attach them so that you don't rip your paper if you need to remove them for some reason such as putting ribbon under your letters. If you have any questions feel free to email me. The seed swap idea sounds great!

Susie, Thank you so much for your sweet compliment!

Thanks for the compliments! Janice, they are very easy to make. If you want to make one, I can give you the directions. I could make you one, but I will have to find another box.
