Well I'm hooked! I love doing redwork! I bought a santa pattern to make some ornaments that I could put on packages or attach to bread for gifts and I am really enjoying it! Don't know what I'm going to do when I've made all I need!

Julia, I think we are long lost twins. I just borrowed a book from a friend to try redwork. I have always been enchanted by it, I will try to get something done before our chapter meeting.

Perhaps the most beautiful use of redwork that I've seen was in a quilt. It was a Double Irish Chain pattern and the redwork was used in the open parts on crisp white fabric. The chains were made from red/white prints and there was a pretty red/white floral fabric as the border. It was beautiful. I've been wanting to make one ever since I saw it.
