Actually the items were on a doll bed that I pile with small quilts for the kitties to sit on, I'll have to find a clear spot and take a picture of it, it is pretty funny. And I cut out my fabulous 99 cent Canadian pitcher. and there are a couple more boxes of crap/treasure in the back of the car.
While my daughter is awway this weekend I'll take some "special " pictures, I do love all the loony bits of life...Karin

Eagle eye Kathie...that little girl looks like a hummel to me. Interesting. Very cool embroidery and how nice for it to be the focal point in a quilt.

I love the Grange stuff, Karen! Actually, all of it's pretty fabulous! When Janice and I were thriftin in Louisville on Saturday, we saw someone's whole collection of souvenir plates (1940's era) for sale....sortof sad :(

Hi Karin -- Fun to see all your finds! The swan planter is a McCoy -- I have a collection of 5 or so of them -- the first one was my Grandmother's and then I started purchasing them here and there and Ebay. They have a special sentimental place in my heart. Fun to see one living in Maine as well.

Happy thrifting!

KARIN,
I think you did a great job posting pictures here. I think I did it once. Look at all the things you got! I didn't know you liked STATE PLATES AND GREEN.
Wow you sure hang around with some ladies that know how to do beautiful needlework. But I have your little pillow and you are the best!

It's the giant doily

Well I am exhausted now, but I just wanted to show you some of the silly things i've gotten lately. hard work, but someone has to do it. Of course Nancy Jo is the Supreme Thrift Store Shopper, but sometimes you just need to know how inferior the shops are around here.

Well, these are from more than one yard sale event....

The chicken trivet is mine, my daughter bought the little nightmare gnome and shell monument. These are my yellow and orange button jars and my littlest white button bottle. The piece of printed burlap just appealed to me and that;s the top of the giant doily...

Yet another photo

This one is really chock full of treats, the plates, the old knife and fork, the silly cat {but it is GREEN), the swan and an old doll Susannah and I madeyears ago, it is Clyde, the baby, we haven't seen his sisters, Prunella and Matilda, in years. We figure they are holed up in a bunker made of fabric scraps somewhere upstairs

Another assortment of things

I though these little sandwich plates were so cute and i love the
Grange cookbook stand. My daughter selected the Expello Can for some reason, and I always fall for old green pottery and who could resist shells in lucite? Not me.
