Posted - Jun 03 2008 : 9:53:11 PM I have been bad...very very bad. I am _supposed_ to be packing for the big move to Montana which means lots of sorting and organizing...
But when I organize my craft things it is so much easier to find my patters, material....etc etc and I find myself sitting down at my sewing machine to make things. Or grabbing some hand stitching to do while resting.
I am getting more crafting done than packing! And not only that, but I am rediscovering forgotten UFO's that suddenly need to be finished...NOW! LOL This is silly! I need to focus on the move! Somebody give me inspiration to stop being bad and get back to work!! :D

Posted - Jun 04 2008 : 4:10:21 PM Alee- I did the same thing right before we moved once. I just HAD to finally organize the pictures into albums or else it was going to drive me crazy. Scott just stood back as I peeled 1000's of those little photo corners and finished 3 albums in 4 days!! HA!! I felt much better though...

Posted - Jun 04 2008 : 09:22:39 AM Unfortunately...my craft room is the living room! HEHEHE so it isn't out of sight out of mind! LOL
I listen to audiobooks and clean for a time and that seems to help. I need to go get more boxes but things are coming together slowly but surely. We need to have this big garage sale so I can see more clearly what actually needs packed, and we need to get some junk out that is just being thrown away I am so glad this is a cleansing year for us! Cleansing of un needed items and cleansing of debts! We are going to be a whole new family by this time next year! :D

Posted - Jun 04 2008 : 09:04:44 AM I set the timer. I work for 30 minutes, or 15 and then I get to go do something "fun" for DOUBLE the time. Then stop, set the timer, work and go back and more fun! It takes more time to do the fun stuff than to actually do the work stuff!! It is actually amazing how much you can get done in 15 minutes. GIve it a try!

Posted - Jun 04 2008 : 07:45:29 AM My mommom used to say, "Are you having fun? Then everything'll get done!" Wish I lived near you so I could help you! Maybe you could craft for an hour and sort for an hour, etc?!!!! Hugs, Susan |
