Okay so I have been on a sewing marathon this week... along with my regular alterations contract work (hemming pants, shirts, setting zippers, altering dresses...) I also did a custom project--a warm windows side draw 7foot wide shade. All while trying to help our little one grow (I'm almost 8mos pregnant) and caring for our two year old.
Needless to say I am tired!
But the weird thing is, and why I am posting this in the sewing forum, is that in another way I feel energized! There is nothing like doing something you love as your work.
For instance, two weeks ago I made to order a beautiful girls dress out of a vintage fabric that had embroidery and tatting. The lady who purchased it was incredibly moved (almost crying when she picked it up) and later I heard that the mother-to-be she gave the dress to was completely taken with the dress and stated she'd cherish it as an heirloom.
I love having an affect on people with what I make.

Thanks for listening
