Spent the morning developing a "prototype" for a new creation I want to offer in my business. This is one of the most fun aspects of a business like mine - developing something new. Making 50 of them, not so much. But I had a lot of fun with this one and wanted to share it with you! I'm going to call it "Bee's Knee's".

I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but the yellow fabric has cute little bees all over it.

(I don't know why that detail shot is coming out sideways, I rotated it on photobucket, but it's still not coming out right!)

I know I have to stockpile - I"m such a scatterbrain it's hard for me! My dh is very methodical and organized and he just cringes when I hop from one project to another. He thinks I should sit down and make all the jackets I will need, then all the hats I will need, and so on. Just doesn't work that way for me!! Hey, I just posted over in barter - I'm looking for little jeans and overalls for these skirts if anyone is needing to clean out their child's closet. Thanks!

Sherri,
Hi girlfriend,
Oh my goodness that is absolutley adorable and so feminie. Isn't the making of the first one grand, all the creative juices flowing. I have to say making 50 would be a little daunting to me, but those should sell well for sure. Besides you need a stockpile for upcoming shows.

Sherri,
Got it at Joannes at Puyallup south hill. they are discountuing this one and coming out with a new one. So they have them for 50% off. I dont know if the other Joannes are having the same sale or not. My spinning friend told me about this, otherwise I would have gotten it at Olympias Joannes

My goodness Shirley - where di you find a Viking Designer at 50% off? That's the machine I really wanted when I bought my Rose, but couldn't justify the huge price tag on the full price machine. The Designer is great - I went through many a demo on it before I decided on my Rose. It has a much bigger capacity to embroider than the other machines and does EVERYTHING! I told my husband it's almost like you lay your fabric and pattern beside it, leave the room, and come back later to pick up your finished product! Congrats on that - that's a real find!!

Very cute Sherri,

I just got a new sewing machine, Im still just looking at it, wondering why oh why did I but it. ROFL
Its a Viking Designer I , it was 50% off . it embroideries, and more. It looks very complicated, but Im waiting to take the lessons that came with it. And I dont even sell my sewing stuff. HEHE and am not going to start now. I guess I will have fun with it when I learn all the ins and outs.
