When yard saleing yesterday in the very blustery day we had and temp of 40. I was drawn to this box of dollies half naked, delimbed and deheaded, and oh so dirty staring at me. I looked through the box and thought NO WAY $20.00. I walked away and the dollies started to yell and scream for me to return to them and take them home. I really tried to run but no good. I talked with the gentleman holding the sale and asked him if he would take $5.00. Said $10. So I started to walk away, again these voices yelled "Betty Jo PLEASE take us home we are cold and dirty, we promise to be good dollies if you just take us home." So I went back to the box and picked it up. We settled on $8.00 and now the dollies are here at home. I swear they know they are at home. At the moment they are in the gas (insecticide) chamber, which they went into with out a peep, to be debugged. Lots of bug bodies and I'm sure eggs in their hair.

So here goes the questions as I know next to nothing about them. The biggest one was made by Ideal and it suppose to walk and move her head and arms from side to side. She has such a beautiful face but such matted hair and stained body as do the rest. How do I clean their hair and bodies. All of their eye mechanisms work but are corroded so what can I use to clean and relube them. There will be three complete dollies when I am done and no extra parts.

sometimes baby wet wipes can clean grime and grunge off pretty well.I'd try those..gently of course..or try seventh generation dish soap on them.

Great find..I emailed you on identity and such. Yes, they needed to be rescued. Sometimes I wonder if I should wear earplugs so stuff doesn't call my name :)
