Posted - Mar 18 2008 : 9:43:24 PM I just finished a teapot cozy in a beautiful shade of lavendar. I would like to decorate with a crochet pansy, but don't have a pattern and haven't had luck just trying to come up with one on my own. Does anybody out there have a pansy pattern they'd like to share? I've checked out the internet, but can only find pansies worked into doilies, or patterns I'd have to pay for. Thanks for any help, Sharon

Posted - Mar 20 2008 : 11:57:27 AM Thank you both. I'll try the one from the internet (which I hadn't seen!), and if that doesn't do it, I'll see if the library has the book. Thanks so much! Sharon

There is a book called "Encyclopedia of 300 Crochet patterns" by Phyllis Mayfield, that may have what you are looking for. On page 147 is a pansy like flower that is pretty simple and would look great on a cozy. I have a copy from the library but just ordered it from Alibris because I like the patterns so much...lots of good instructions.
