Posted - Mar 18 2008 : 9:15:47 PM I just got the latest copy of Country Living at the store today and there's an article about yo yo's. The projects are by the Farm Chicks! They showed 3 really cute ideas - for a purse, sweater, and shoes.

Posted - Mar 29 2008 : 12:24:39 PM Regarding any deletion of posts: Farm moderators, of course, reserve the right to delete posts, especially those in bad taste or of a contentious nature but the only posts we’ve deleted recently are a hand-full from some members who had posted the EXACT same post in several different threads.
An example would be Katmom’s post about EllynAnne Geisel’s new book, Apronisms. Katmom promoted it as a give-away on her blog and then loaded it onto four or five different threads with the title: “Apronisms” Book Drawing. EllynAnne did the same thing when her apron appeared in Vogue. The farm deleted all of EllynAnne’s but one and all of Katmom’s but one. We picked out the one with the most replies and then deleted the others.
So Peanut, you may have posted in one of the threads that got deleted but Katmom’s contest can still be found here: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18278&whichpage=1&SearchTerms=apronisms
and EllynAnne’s Vogue post here:
http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18181&whichpage=1
Girls, for any category, ESPECIALLY a contest, multiple postings are EXTREMELY confusing. As members start to post, the whole idea turns into chaos.
So a heads up, multiple postings WILL BE DELETED. If we have time, we will pick out the one with the most replies, but in order to maintain some semblance of order here, PLEASE put your thinking cap on and DO NOT post the same thing in multiple places. Pick the category that best suits your subject matter and watch it grow right where it’s planted!
Thanks!
Carol, farm moderator

Posted - Mar 20 2008 : 6:59:23 PM I got an issue today.. So wished there was more lovely pics of what to make with yo-yo's but love all the ideas for doilies.. I have tons of them. I love doilies and will snatch them up whereever I can. I sure miss where we lived in CA- I got doilies allll the time at the thrift store as we lived in a retirement town. I haven't found a single doily since moving to Nevada :-(
