I cannot tell you how many times I was going to make slipcovers in the past (even got fabric for the couches!!) and then chickened out last minute. Well, now I am going to go through with it. I posted a picture of my chair as it is today on my blog. Tomorrow I will cut the fabric! Have you ever done a slipcover? Tell me how easy it is!! LOL

I made one, but it wasn't formfitted. I wanted to make my old couch fit in with the new scheme. I like it but it does slip off after a long while of use. It's a Simplicity pattern, don't know if they still make it or not.

I have never made one but my mother has.
And it turned out fine.
So, courage!... :)

Sheryl-lyn - I can't tell you how many times I've said I'm going to make slipcovers and chickened out! I'm always so intimidated about cutting the fabric - afraid I'll mess up. I looked at you blog and love the chair you're going to cover. Can't wait to see it finished. I'm hoping your courage will inspire me to do my chair and sofa! It's dark red and I'd love somthing lighter for Spring.

Hey good for you! I'm sure your slipcover will come out just fine. I'm working up the courage to make decorative pillowcases for my couch. It has to be a "no sew" project though, because I'm a "no sew" kind of farmgirl!
