Sooo...I had a crafting crisis tonight. My sewing machine is at work...so no sewing. My backpack got left in the car so no knitting (btw- my scarf is almost done!! yippee!) no yarn for crocheting (because I am using it for knitting!). Darn. Just realized I have a crochet rag run that I could have worked on. Too late now...

But I did realize I had some crochet thread and a tatting needle...Yay! So I started tatting again. I figured I would have to re-learn how to do it, but once I got the needle threaded- ta da! I was tatting! I had MJ's "Stitching Room" opened to the right page for verification purposes but MJ "taught" me so well the first time that I didn't need to re-learn how to do it at all! Yay!

Alee, Have you thought of recycling yarn from thrift store sweaters? You can get so much great yarn that you may not have been able to afford otherwise. And if the sweater fits you or is a little bit bigger than you then you have enough yarn for a whole sweater- out of wool, angora, cotton, linen, silk etc.. you name it! To get enough yarn for a whole sweater is expensive! I unravel yarn all the time.

alee .. always keep a 'good book' on hand for when it is jus' impossible to do any stitchin'. right now .. i'm between chapters of shirley maclaine's (hmmmmmmm .. gotta' check the spelling of her last name!) latest book 'saging while aging' .. she's talking about 'synchonicity' in our lives (things that we often call 'coincidences')

can't say i believe EVERYTHING she believes .. but some i do .. some i'd like to .. very interesting book! xo
