Haven't noticed you on the forums for a couple of days - you're not avoiding me because you're neglecting your 20 minutes a day are you?Hmmm? Just keeping on you like I said I would!!! I did some spinning over the weekend and got some really pretty teal yarn which I promptly knit into a scarf. My yarn is still a little lumpy and bumpy, but it's fine - because that's in style!!! My older son, the goofy one, said "Let me try that". Knowing him I was afraid, very afraid, for my wheel, but I moved aside. He got that wheel spinning so fast you couldn't even see it and guess what - he got a big twisted up mess like you'd guess. So, I had to cut that part out and restart my yarn. KIDS! (He's 31)

Oh Frannie - I'm sorry. That must be awful - did you go to the doctor? Burns can be really bad. Yes, staring at the wheel counts, so keep at it. Hope you feel better - it makes me cringe to think of you being awakened by pain.

oh, i have the most pitiful excuse.
get your hankies out. i burned my hand. (the right one and i am right handed).
it is actually a a pretty awful burn mostly on the pointer finger and middle finger. i did it frying chicken. anyway, the first day i was just "fried " i couldnt get enough sleep cause the pain kept waking me up. the second day as well. dh brought me home some antibiotic cream last night and i actually slept till 6:30 this morning. so i have had to take a big break from just about everything and hope that i can get back to it real soon. my crafting has stopped my spinning, all i seem to do is kinda whimper and feel sorry for myself.
it is pitiful.
anyway i stared at the wheel yesterday and today but not for 20 minutes does that count?
