Do any of you know where I might get Flannel that is wider than 45 inches width?
I am planning on putting this on a quilt I am planning on making for my couch.
My deceased Granmother made me a quilt a dresand plate design
and it has flannel on the back.
It however is wearing in some places , and I want to put it away to save it.
Gran, put a thin blanket inside for batting.
She usually used what she had.
She grew up in the depression era; and times were hard and her and her family made do with what they had
I think Gran had something like 12 sisters and brothers.
She grew up in West Va. and her dad was a coal miner.
So, I am looking for flannel in widths wider than 45 inches.
Thanks Pinkroses

Thanks for the replays.
I did look at the site Ronna.
I am still not really sure about adding the flannel
on the back.
But, I know that Gran's quilt is warm and cozy. Pinkrose

If you just try www.fabric.com, it will come up-or at least did for me. Then I went to quilting fabric and flannel.
They have a 106" wide for $8 yd, that's very reasonable. You can order a swatch for 75 cents, which I would do before ordering a bunch. Have a couple others too, interesting site.

I have purchased 60 inch flannel from Gohn Brothers at times. You can call them and ask if they have any or request a catalog
Gohn Brothers phone is 1-800-595-0031, since they are old order Amish there is no email address for them, but their snail mail address is
Gohn Bros.

Sheila-

Some of the Wal-Marts carry a white flannel that is 108 inches wide.

Sheila,
Have you considered using a flannel sheet? Some are poor quality, but others are great. I might have one that would suit your needs if you tell me what size you need. What your grandmother used might have been what was called a sheet blanket before the flannel sheet craze a few years back. My kids are grown and still like them as top sheets.
I still have a Holly Hobbie to send you too, better go get those things ready and mailed before I totally forget.
Ronna
