Posted - Jan 15 2008 : 09:17:29 AM This is great! I'm going to start storing up cotton yarn from the thrift store and go with what ever colors the "thrift gods" send me! Kitty sure seems to like the rug too! Sharon

Posted - Jan 15 2008 : 09:11:18 AM Yeah, Mandy the kitten is ridiculous. Every time I try to take photos of something, she gets all flirtatious and "look at me". *L*

Posted - Jan 14 2008 : 08:49:00 AM It was amoebaish for a while and I had to rip some out. Hence the "do the double crochet first" advice. Why go through what I went through? *L*

Posted - Jan 14 2008 : 08:14:59 AM That turned out awesome! If I attempted one, it would definately be amoeba-shaped by the time I finished! LOL Yours is such a perfect oval.

Posted - Jan 14 2008 : 07:03:06 AM I'll bet sheets and bath towels might be nice too, maybe even some other kinds of fabrics. Don't know how much you would need. There are tons of cotton yarn choices at Hobby Lobby and even places like Wally World have the big cones in at least a few color choices.

Posted - Jan 14 2008 : 06:53:50 AM that is so cool! i could really use one...the boughten rugs really don't do much but prevent slipping. i guess i'll be on the lookout for cotton yarn at the thrift store. it seems to be abundant.

Posted - Jan 14 2008 : 06:45:14 AM man is that ever cute nash!!! WOW! I was thining of doing the same thing, but using cut up strips of bath towels...ya know the ones that have baddness at the end, but the rest of it is still good. MaryJane taught me how to do it with sheets, so I thought why not bath towels...it could be very colorful. Just a thought..Who knows if it would work. |
