Posted - Jan 14 2008 : 06:14:23 AM Nancy Jo - it looks great in the frame you chose. If it is a piece you want to keep for a long time, you may want to lace it (using a strong thread as if you were lacing a shoe) on the back instead of taping it, and also using a piece of cardboard that is acid free. That way your stitched fabric will not degrade over time from the tape and board. It is so pretty, I would want to protect it!

Posted - Jan 14 2008 : 05:58:42 AM HEATHER, I made up a bowl of pretty strong tea then tested an extra piece of the same material to make sure I wasn't going to ruin my embroidery. Its hard to tell how dark it is when wet, but I just slopped it up and down and then let it be , I guess about 20 min. Then rinsed it in cold water dried it ,ironed it with spray starch on the wrong side, then ironed it all over. Then just put it face down on the glass inside the frame, put the back cardboard thing on and pressed it down, turned the frame over to see how it looked, ok good, then trimmed over the extra material and taped it tight on the cardboard. Then put another backing on the frame to cover up my messy tape job. TA DA!

Posted - Jan 14 2008 : 05:42:13 AM That is a FAB. job! How long did you stain it for? How did youattach the back to the frame? I love to Stitch pillows but framing scares me for some reason
