I had the nicest time today at our little farmgirl get together at Libbie's house!! She taught us (just three of us this time) to needle tat!! My "creation" is doomed to be a cat toy this time..but I think I can sit and figure out how to do better next time. She got me reading the pattern and understanding the stitches and I am loving it!! It was so fun to have cookies and herb tea and visit in her adorable farmhouse! Her little boys are just the cutest little redheads..you all would just love them!!
Thanks LIBBIE!!!

Inside me there is a skinny woman crying to get out...but I can usually shut her up with cookies

It really was SO much fun! I love having farmgirls over. It happens rarely, 'cause I'm in such a rural little town, but it was an extra-special time! Jenny and Cherral brought the most mouth-watering cookies - I think I ate FIVE of them (yikes!) - and we really had a great time. There really isn't a problem in the world that a group of farmgirls can't solve!!! My boys loved it, too - they are so fun - but one of them, Bonne, has the personality (read: temper) that is traditionally associated with red hair. He is ONE AND A HALF!!! But, really, they are both a joy - completely!

Katy King taught me how to needle tat at MaryJanesFarm, and I'm hooked! It really is fun, and Jenny's cat is going to have one gorgeous toy if that's what she decided to do with it!

XOXO, Libbie

My sympathies to Libbie for having redheaded sons..........no, I'm just kidding. I married one and his mother gave me the lowdown on how ornery her 2 redheaded boys were(are)~ROFL

Aunty Jenny, what a great time you must have had! I always love to read Libbie's postings. She seems like such a dear gal. I love that your kitties will get the first of your tatting creations , but you're right--now you can read the pattern and it's not so insurmountable after that. Practice makes perfect!!!

Oh! I'm sooo jealous! You girls sound absolutely wonderful and I wish I could hang out with you sometime! Many hugs!

Oh, Jenny, I wish I could have been there! Good food, good instruction, and good friends. What could be beter? I remember when we were waiting for son #2 to be born and giving Libbie advice like jumping off a piano. Well, I did, anyway. I'll bet her little ones are adorable at this age. So glad you had a great time.

love,

Oh sounds like fun Jenny.
How nice for the farmgirls who can together and learn from one another. That is something I want to learn. I have a shuttle my mom gave me. Came from my grandmother but I don't know how to use it at all.
Maybe someday I'll run into someone who can teach me.
