I know some of you have a bunch of them, but thought it would be fun and interesting to hear about the machine you are most attached to, so to speak.
Maybe even post a pic. :-)
If this has been done lately and I missed it, straighten me out and I'll go look at the posts. :-)
Mine is a Kenmore model 17860, circa 1982. It's a metal machine made in Japan, super high shank and a whole bunch of cams. No computer, but I can get some fancy stitches out of it...:-) It has a free arm as well. Hard to find some of the feet I would like for it.

My main machine is a Viking Rose. It is my third Viking, but the next time I buy a machine, I'm switching to something else - maybe Bernina or Phaff. My first Viking was great, loved it to death, but I haven't had as good a luck with my electronic Vikings. The electronic board goes out, it's expensive to fix and the machine just starts having a mind of it's own. I need something more reliable because it never fails - it goes bad right before a big show. I also have a Viking serger and a Singer "spare machine". And my mom's old Free Westinghouse that she sewed all my clothes on when I was a kid (straight stich machine) and her old Kenmore.

I am afraid of digital, so even though my machines are all newer, they are 100% mechanical - no computers - and total workhorses.

I have a Huskvarna serger, embroidery machine and the megaquilter. I also have a little featherweight which is the only one I take to classes. For straightforward sewing, the megaquilter is the fastest which I love. Otherwise, I will use the embriodery machine for regular sewing too. They are all good. However, my serger and I have a love/hate relationship, but when I win the war with it (which I do sometimes) then it is a dream! |

I use my Janome 9500 , it is a computer sewing plus embroiderty
I have a basic computer Elna that I love too
I don't have room for both of them ;so I use my newest one.

I have an Elna 3005 that I have had for 15 years and I love it, very basic and sews wonderfully. I have a Kenmore serger and a Bernina Deco 340 embroidery machine. I love them all and try to use them daily if I can.

I have a have a Viking Rose(1995), a 1952 Singer 221, a Singer serger, a 1932 Singer the model excapes me at the moment. I love all of them. Here lately I have used the 221 mostly though.

I love my 930 Bernina & Juki MO-655. The Bernina is 25 years old & has made hundreds of items. A few years ago I did the sewing machine shopping thing & couldn't find anything that I liked better. Too much extra stuff or not well made. Besides who wants to learn how to use all that fancy stuff, when I can just sit down and SEW!!!
Making grand-daughter pj & robes for the kids now. :)

Love the older logo "Huskvarna" on yours Lizabeth. Cool looking machine. My daughter has her grandma's 50's era green Elna-never has and probably never will use it, which is a shame. I have a Bernina Artista 730 waiting for me in the sewing/office cluttered room and two Featherweights in the closet. So much to do and so little energy.

I have a 2002 Singer, a 1989 JC Penney. I use my Singer all the time. But I'm having sewing machine envy over Lizabeth's Viking! I love the older machines and think they are the best.

The one that can do it all is the Rocketeer, but my favorite to sew on at the moment is the Electro-Grand. Purrs like a kitten! Just wish I could find the cams that fit it.

Here is my '50s Viking. It positively purrs. Besides this I have a megaquilter that I use mainly for home decor because it is so strong, a viking 936 serger and a "knock about" White machine that I should probably sell.

I've got a 1955 Singer Featherweight 221, a 2007 Janome Needlefelting machine, a 1999 Babylock Esante sewing/embroidery machine and a 1995 Pfaff Hobbylock serger. I love all of them!
My next addition is going to be a vintage Singer 222k..it's like the 221 model except that it converts to a free arm. They command a much higher price than the 221's. One closed the other night on Ebay for $899 which was a decent price. Saving those dollars...

I have a singer 1932, 2 brothers, serger-phaff, a brother quilting machine, baby lock embroidery machine.
The beby lock and 1932 is my favorite.
