Heather
here is a thought,,,,stock up on frozen T.V. dinners, hug & kiss DH, DS & DD (dog) goodbye,,,go to nearest motel w/ all your goodies, pay for 2 full days, stock up on kibbles & snacks (order in Pizza if you get hungry) and just relax & enjoy you books & patterens un-interrupted... ok, now back to reality!

ok, "Goodnight Gracie" heeheehee, love that Georgie & Gracie.
Blessing to you & your DH for your committment to the Military too!
And I hope you find your calling, I was a pre-school teacher for 10 years & loved it. I worked w/4-5 year olds.
Teaching lets you be the "foundation" for the future(through the wee ones) what a blessing.
Hugz & nite nite.

Good luck on your search.....
Go Navy, Have ya ever been stationed @ Phueneme or Magoo in Qxnard? (I know I am spelling both of those wrong)
My dad has since passed away, but mom still has her military priveledges.
& quit snickering....he wasn't in his pants when I searched for change, wait, that didn't sound right either! ok, so you are not the only one who is dopey!

Hey Heather,
We have a wonderful Airforce base just down the road, Fairchild, it's been here since 1955.
You can always put in a request for transfer....
I am/was an ArmyBrat and loved it! daddy was career military/Army.
I know what you mean about moving,,,,I regrete that most of my stuff was given away everytime we moved so I very little keepsakes from my childhood.
Well, my DH is now asleep on the sofa, so no more sofa diving, I am heading off to his pants & to see how much I can find. He & our DD went to breakfest this morning so I KNOW there has to be some loose change!
Wish me luck.

I am in Oceanside, near Camp Pendleton. I used to be stationed up by you in Bremerton, few years ago. When I moved back here from Texas, we sold most of our things and left the rest in storage (Moving 4 times in one year, one get tired of lifting things) I hope to decorate with free or inexpensive stuff and then when we leave, donate it to some family in need.

I just checked DH's pants from today and made $1.25...YIPPPEEEE!!!!

Cheers,
Heather

LOL'ing!
I keep a vase for lose change....(usually outta my hubbies pockets!
My hubbie LOVES Craigs list! he was able to find a used garden tractor w/a snow plow, he is fixing up for a Christmas gift for our daughter & son-in-law. They don't have one & it will come in very handy for them.
My DH also has been searching Craigs List for parts for my little trailer that I use for Sisters on the Fly outtings. I have put the bug in his ear that I would like to get a 2nd one that is a true "canned ham" from the late 1950's....I know he is searching.....'cause I have peeked over his shoulder several times!
Hope you find a Sofa w/a 'Gold mind" lol!
Where in Calif. are you right now?

Grace...we can keep each other up...I am in California!!! I am wheeling and dealing on Craigslist for a couch right now. Let's see how much change we can come up with say by 10??? LOL

I have a small piggy bank that I keep "Found change" in for emergencies such as this....

Time to go raid the DH's pockets...

Heather

Hey Linda#71, laugh all you want, but I am still sofa diving! it's amazing what a gal will resort to when she wants a new book/fabric/ rubber stamp or what ever.
p.s. it's 8:27pm here, I still have time to look through the chair seat cushions next!

katmom Posted - Dec 14 2007 : 7:51:54 PM
Not only am I drooling, BUT I have stooped so low as to search for loose change beneath the sofa cushions as well as in the car seat cushions so I can buy both books, 'cause I doubt I will get a Amazon gift card from family short of me standing in the kitchen holding a sign that will read, "will cook for book $$$" LOL

FYI, Our very own "farmsister, EllynAnne Geisel" has another (actually 2) book(s) coming out soon.
One is a cute "mini" book and well, you'll just have to wait & be surprized about the second one!
As we use to say @ the department "If I tell ya, I'd have to shoot ya" (meaning it's a secrete/surprize!)
But worth the wait!

I got that book too! Saw the info on here about it and couldn't resist. I read it over and over. You are going to really like it! The full size pattern enclosed is easy to make. I haven't used it yet but it's my plan to soon!
