Posted - Dec 03 2007 : 10:54:34 AM Our readers have discovered an error in the pattern for our Everyday Apron on pages 220-221. If you have a copy of MaryJane's Ideabook, Cookbook, Lifebook that does NOT have a triangular pattern piece labeled "Apron Body Tails" on the left of page 221 or a one-page insert in the front of the book, you'll need to download a pdf of the pattern correction here: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/images/apron-correction-220-221.pdf

Posted - Sep 10 2013 : 04:47:06 AM Thank you Carol and Alee. I have been dreaming about time to make this apron. Until I saw this pattern I had been thinking about tearing an apron apart that belonged to my husbands grandmother. She would be around 120 if she were still living. Thankfully I won't have to do that. I am so happy to be on MJF. Everyone is helpful not to mention genuinely nice.

Posted - Feb 15 2011 : 6:39:29 PM Thank you Alee for the BeeLine link to enlarge a pattern, I'm blessed with the ability to look a picture of something and can, most often, figure out how to make it, but my daughter can't do that and wanted to make an apron that had to be enlarged and I wasn't able to explane how I do it. This is just what I need to send her. Thank you again. judy

Posted - Jul 11 2010 : 1:46:30 PM Thank you so much for the correction, Carol. I have this pattern drawn out and ready to make. Sure wish I had known about the "radical enlargement" sooner. That will definitely come in handy. Oh..btw...do NOT do a search on that!!!!!

Posted - Oct 18 2009 : 06:25:51 AM Welcome to the forum, Kristina!
There are two ways to enlarge the pattern. Fed-Ex/Kinkos has a large format printer that you can pay to have the apron enlarged on.
Or you can do it yourself at home. It's super easy and kindof fun also! Here is a link to MaryJane's instructions on how to enlarge a pattern: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/Recipes-Patterns-Instructions/pattern_enlargement.pdf My favorite way is the Radial Enlargement.

Posted - Oct 18 2009 : 05:37:32 AM I just mailed in our registration fee. I really want to get the girls and I started on sewing and eventually sewing an apron. I borrowed the book from the library and printed the correcting in the post, but where do I get the pattern enlarged? Will a copy shop be able to do this for me? And if so, about how much will it cost to enlarge? Also, since I am new here, do any of you have a craft pattern to sew a needle holder? I can't wait to get started on all of this!

Posted - Feb 26 2008 : 11:21:28 AM I think it says to cut 2 because it used to be arranged on the fold, but now that the triangular Apron Body tails are there everything got moved around a bit (sorry I don't have my Ideabook handy to know for sure). If you need the apron back to be bigger- you could always enlarge it past the 400%, but remember the sides of the apron do wrap around a bit.

Posted - Feb 23 2008 : 08:40:53 AM Don't quote me on this Faith, but I believe you need to cut two to compensate for the narrower width fabric. I believe that was the problem in the first place, if you put it on the fold, it wouldn't fit on the 45" fabric.

Posted - Feb 22 2008 : 9:21:17 PM Is there a mistake on the correction? It says to cut 2 of the apron back. The book says cut 1 on the fold.
