Hi Ladies,

Does anyone know of a good book (or video) on sewing machine repair? I now have a lovely collection of four electric and one treadle machine whose tension is either off, or the bobbin thread pulls the top thread out of the needle. I'd like to be able to figure out how to fix them myself (or, through some miracle, talk my husband into learning how!), since we have one vehicle and my husband needs it during the hours that the sewing machine shops are open.

Has anyone found anything helpful?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much to both of you-I printed out the Singer manuals, and will order the book (if only I could talk my husband into learning the business!).

Ck the "Treadlin' Along" thread i started. It has links to various manuals for treadles (FREE too!).
I'll bump it for you (in stitching/crafting)

I have never used this book, but it caught my eye in one of my favorite catalogs; Clotilde. They also have a similar book about treadle machines. http://www.clotilde.com/detail.html?prod_id=2242&cat_id=174

hope it helps!
