Posted - Nov 06 2007 : 07:24:31 AMLast night I decided to jump on the yo-yo band wagon and make a garland for Christmas... I remembered that I had this Olfa circle cutter that I had purchased for some project. http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog_old.jsp?CATID=24988&PRODID=74025
You can easily set the point for small circles to large circles (but remember to only do half the finished measurement--for a 4" circle you set the cutter to 2"). I cannot tell you how easy this was to use! I simply placed weights on the fabric to hold it taut and then pivoted the cutter around (each time moving the weights closer to my cut area). So now I have 24 cute circles in a cheery christmas fabric waiting to be stitched!
Here is a first picture... I decided to put little bells in the center of each yo-yo
