Posted - Oct 30 2007 : 2:08:43 PM finally finished this altered art piece for me --i used really big puzzle piece and cut pic to fit it and then wire wrapped the puzzle piece . Was fun but time consuming. Looks neater in person .I hate waiting for glue to dry

Posted - Oct 31 2007 : 06:03:16 AM The pieces work better that go to a 25 pc puzzle. That way you get more of your pic on the piece. You cant see details of the pic good here --but it is a sleeping cat with a tiny dog annoying it saying 'yap' 'yap'yap'. so i called it my "life's little annoyances" (sp ?) necklace .I kinda wanted a necklace to symbolize stuff --The beads in neckalace are all stone chip and glass or ceramic. Figure they symbolize all the fun things in life one can enjoy . I have tried several different glues out and found the mod pog works the best. Some are more expensive that are actually scrap booking glues. I like the spray sealer for the top. The mod poge leaves a shiner finish as a top coat than i was looking for. I got some gel meduim to play with --you coat the piece pic transfers to. That stuff was expensive. Small jar was 17.99 . I need to go to goodwill and find a tan leather belt i can cut up and transfer the pics to. I am waiting for a bunch bottle caps to finish drying with witch pics on them --so i can play with them next. I have carried dirt for 2 weeks to my backyard and was in "jewerly withdrawal. I just had to make me a piece. :) Still have darn dirt to carry still. I had 5 dualie size truckloads of dirt to carry in my little bucket from front house to back house . UGH!!! (I cant get a truck in back of yard due to privacy fence and way drive goes. And i hate wheelbarrows )Dirt was all free so i didnt want to pass it up. My backyard gardens are all done in raised beds . I am way tired of dirt though and cant wait to get to sew stuff soon.
