Anyone made a coverlet for a queen size bed out of their yo yos? How many yo yos did it take to complete it? I'm churning them out with the hope of making a gift coverlet but maybe it will end up being pillows instead. :-)

Thanks, sunshine. You just convinced me to make the pillows! Good thing they are fun to make.

Examples of both types of lay out

laid out in straight rows
each yoyo is sew to four other yoyos the holes are larger between them takes less yoyos to cover a larger area weaker blanket

Laid out in hex pattern like grandmothers flower garden
yoyos are attached to six other yoyos not very large holes between them takes more yoyos to cover same area stronger blanket

I am working on a twin size one at the moment sewing them in straight rows of four patch not in the grandmothers flower garden way ( grandmothers way takes more to cover the same area but is a stronger blanket) so far I have 1472 yoyos in it 32 yoyos by 46 yoyos using standard cd as template and is almost done
