Posted - Oct 15 2007 : 08:52:49 AM Pendelton is Pendelton, Oregon in the Northeast side of Oregon where we have the ultimate Pendelton Roundup. They are well known for their beautiful products as well as the top grade wool they use. My youngest daughter, Dawn, just went to their Rodeo a month ago. If it's wool and quality you want it doesn't get any better than this! God bless, Hugs, Pauline

Posted - Oct 15 2007 : 06:33:50 AM they are in Oregon I haven't ordered any in about 5 years I still have over 300 pounds of wool. I ordered over the phone but found the contact info on line I just like taking to a person when I order easier to have questions answered. You are sent yardage you could actually make nice wool suits with the stuff I have the pieces are more than big enough for that

Posted - Oct 15 2007 : 04:08:46 AM Sunshine, Is that a place online or is it a store near you?
I saw Naomi's crocheted rug on her blog. Very nice. I think I may have to try that. Seems she used acrylic yarn. Has anyone else ever used yarn for a rug?

Posted - Oct 13 2007 : 7:40:55 PM nice pictures but a terrible way to start a braided rug It also doesn't show hidden stitching and weaving in the ends how to do this. They also have you using upholstery thread when you should be using linen cord. Which is much much thicker

Posted - Oct 13 2007 : 2:48:58 PM Oops! I didn't see that you said Braided! Sorry! MaryJane's instructions are for Crochet rugs.
Braided rag rugs are very easy to do. You just need to braid together your rags and then take quilting thread and blanket stitch or whip stitch the braid into a coil using stitches that are about an inch to and inch and a half apart.
My great grandmother did theses until she passed away- she even was able to do them after she lost her eye sight! Her rugs were very beautiful and I wish I still had one today.
**** Hi!
MaryJane has EXCELLENT instruction in her "MaryJanes's Stitching Room" book on pages 56-59. They are tons of fun!
