Malphi has said on her blog that her dress kits will be available at the beginning of November. If you guys haven't seen her gorgeous work...........

I've just notice we have the pleasure of having her lovely sister, Nin, join us here at MaryJane's Farm. Welcome Nin!!!! You take such lovely photos.........I get jealous of your picturesque setting there in England. How is your patchwork coming along??

Julie,
After emailing Malphi, asking questions, I bought the dress too. It does have bust darts that come down from the upper arms eye. There is a 5/8" seam allowance & I am going to use my dress as a pattern too. On her blog there are great pictures of blouses & skirts out of the same pattern. I love the ruffles on them. My girls don't think I should make the bow in front, but I want too.
I took my measurements the other day 47-40-47(tummy)44hips. I ordered the XL2 which is for a 44"bust, but Malphi told me because of the crossover it should fit. I'll probably use a smaller seam allowance for that area. She uses french seams & I serge, after I get the fit.
This is an exciting adventure.
Who says a woman with an rennisaince body can't look beautiful, volumputous and pretty?
Here's to us!!!

I'm a little concerned about the lack of bust darts on the dress. I see princess seaming......I wish Malphi would come on and explain the details of the dress a bit better and/or show her dress modelled on a fuller-figured friend! Lets email and/or leave a message on her blog, okay?? She also relayed that if enough people show interest....she would consider putting the pattern out. I know I would much rather have a pattern I can make alternations to than a $100.00 muslin. Ykwim?? She and Nin are really lovely in those dresses, isn't she?!!

I can't wait to see this dress on a fuller figured gal. But I bet it will look awesome because of it's beautiful design lines. Any others in the fuller department who would wear it?

Hey Nin,

That was me making the "tall" comment Well I feel a little better, I'm 5'1" so maybe I can look good in her designs. I know I'd like to just have a clothesline full of them to enjoy looking at

PS I'm laughing the "tall" comment as she's only about 5'3", lol!

I love Malphis hand crank...she out bid me on it!!!

Really Nin! Wow! Her projects make her seem so much taller! But it is the same with MaryJane herself. When I first met MaryJane I was suprised that she was short like me :D

Do be welcome Nin, we will all love having you in our group
I love all of the patterns *sigh* I think I will be reduced to giving up sleep to sew everything
And Stephanie I adore floppy pockets....so much room to hold cookie cutters, bird seed, sewing notions or what have you!

Wishing you joy in small things and peace in your heart

Julie,

Her website has not been launched yet. I expect that will happen the day her kits are made available.

I'm sure you've looked through the blog and all of her Flickr album photos??

Very inspiring!! Now if I were just tall and slim....LOL She looks so good in her creations!! I love the floppy pocket look...am doing a pocket swap where I'm going to use that look

Talk to ya later, Stephanie
