I know, it is nothing fancy, but friend's I *needed* that boost of quick accomplishment and this was it! I am not a quilter but have made some. I just don't have the time right now but LOVE the art!
It is on my craft blog, link in my sig. I was going to post it straight here but baby needs me ;)! Thanks for looking and sharing in my simple joy!

Posted - Oct 02 2007 : 11:35:44 AM Hey Tracey~ Great job on the block!! I Love the bold vibrant color scheme! I learned that block from the flicker group called Block of the MOnth. Every month, you swap a quilt block with a partner. I have done it two months now and plan to do it MANY more. They give step by step detailed instructions (with photos)-often given by our very own Sunshine-and it is a GREAT way to learn new blocks. You should join up! You should! This months' block looks pretty crazy-and fun!
Lest people get the wrong idea, I think I will start putting the link to the flicker group on my posts, so that people know where to find it if they are interested. I talk about it a lot, but I guess I mustn't of posted the link this time...I see Sunshine posted the link. Perfect! Check it out!

Posted - Oct 02 2007 : 06:43:44 AM Thanks everyone!! I will have to check out sunshine's flickr group too. always fabulous crafty work from flowing from you mama!!
Linda- I just wish I had more time to update the blog. Ya know, I stay up thinking of posts but then time passes and I just forget or it is too late ;).
Kathy, I have soooo been there and always try to remind myself of the "Measure 2, cut 1" but sometimes I get in a hurry. Hope the block worked out great anyway! Katie, thanks for the kind words on my Katie's "doll blanket". She is the pillow and blanket queen. Like I said, she wants a quick-fix project every time but is only 9 so I am hoping that someday she will be an amazing crafty artist!

Posted - Oct 02 2007 : 05:55:54 AM Fun block to make! I'll have to try it. Tracey, I love the little doll blanket that your daughter made, too. What a good job she did. I know dolly appreciates it!
Sunshine, I looked at your block-of-the-month group -- lots of inspiration there. I'll keep checking it out to see what block is next, for October. When will the tutorial be posted?

Posted - Oct 02 2007 : 05:45:48 AM That's the block I did for the fall swap. Only problem was that I measured wrong (AAARRRRGGHHH!!) so my blocks were too small, and I ended up putting a border inside the block to fill it out to the proper size. I need to go back and watch some re-runs of "This Old House" -- measure twice and cut once!!
