Posted - Oct 01 2007 : 3:34:55 PM I have a mitten pattern I have been using for years, and there are several others in the book, but none of them say how to sew up the mitten, so I just sew it up with the yarn, But you can always feel that seam on the side of the mitten. So I was thinking maybe I was doing it wrong. NANCY JO

Posted - Oct 01 2007 : 3:30:48 PM hmmm. Mattress stitch usually works for me for sewing seams, but I can see where it would be a problem in the thumb. Do you have a pattern for knitting mittens by knitting the thumb in the round on 4 needles?
