I'm pretty excited with myself, I made my first apron this morning. Didn't have a pattern, made it up as I went along. Woke up in the night and kind of planned how I would do it. Now I want to make many more. So many pretty pieces of material at the thrift to make them from. I think That site that someone put up with all those pretty aprons and dresses on made me a little crazy. It doesn't take much.I put a picture of it on my site, but now keep in mind it is my FIRST ONE.

Rhonda,
How nice to see you about again, or have I just been missing your posts? A drawing is always in order for pretty things. Don't know about the clever thing, crazy maybe.

VERY pritty Miss Nancy! Why aren't you clever/crazy!

I have tons of old doilies & embroidery work that I have been wondering what to do with...you are my inspiration! I have been thinking a nice MJF drawing might be in order to clear a few of these things out too though. What do you ladies think?

Love your apron, especially the pretty pocket! Did you embroider the pocket or use a doily?

That is a wonderful apron. I think you have opened another can of worms for you to go crazy with. when I saw that site you mentioned I thought WOW I can do that too. I have made aprons before but I have some pretty lacey material that would look good over an apron. And while that lady used tableclothes i found some pretty curtains at the thrift. Short ones all frilly perfect for an apron over an apron. And I have so many ideas buzzing around in my head. I wanna get started--NOW--but I have a sick husband and a sick horse and who gets first attention. Maybe me. MB
