I gotta show off.....sorry..but I'm very proud of myself....
on my blog..in today's post...is a skirt I made Saturday night..um scratch that..early Sunday morning, only took my about two hours...So I showed it to my sewing teacher yesterday, and she was impressed...and that hasnt happened to often...haha

The skirt is just too great. What a great job you did matching those stripes. I don't think I would have had the patience to do that. And your teacher should be proud of you for a smashing good job. The style and the stripes have to be very flattering and you could wear it anywhere. What kind of material was it made of? Can you wear the skirt year-round?

Your skirt looks great. You matched the stripes like a pro! I would go cross-eyed trying to match those seams and I have been sewing all of my life. |

Lisa:It wasnt to to hard to match the stripes up, I think I was helped by the fact that there were only two styles of stripes, alternating, so I only lost maybe an inch or two on the entire skirt when matching it up, alot easier then I thought it would be...haha
Bev:Thank you Bev, I love how the stripes came out too, lined up on all sides, including the zipper in the back...
Cheryl: So glad you like my blog, I unfortunatly dont post on it as often as I'd like...
Bonne:I don't have it all together...haha...I should be sewing right now, and my room is a mess...(but then again, thats from rearranging it this week...haha)

You know..I think it is Bonne....haha...those lines flow away from the hips, and skirt is A-line, so it gives the appearance of a smaller waist/hip area...
