Hi ladies,
I have a question that someone might be able to answer. I see a miniature dress form at Joanne's fabric. It looks like about size of 16-18 inch doll. Has a woman's shape. Does anyone know what size it is approx. I would like to use one for doll clothes display.
It is NOT Barbie doll size....LOL...this is more shaped like a real woman. I think it is for decoration or pin cushion.

Hello Linda, Are we still on for the doll swap? I haven't heard from you in awhile. I sent you an e-mail last week, did you get it?

I am going to just buy the MINIATURE DRESS FORM before Joann's stops selling them! Then I am going to go get the 18 inch woman doll the inexpensive craft kind just to check the size. Then I can make an outfit to display and another one for a gift...
fun fun fun! this is a Christmas idea, don't ya think?
cool!

Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a gal like me. I once was lost but now I'm found, was blind but now I see! Linda in PA

Is the form cloth with a wood stand? If so, I have that one and I'm assuming it will display the American Girl sized clothing. I don't have an American Girl doll but do have a "wannabee" doll and her clothes fit it except that the form is maybe an inch thicker in the bodice and waist then the doll's measurements. So this is why I believe it's intended for the American Girl sewing patterns.

Ok, on my way to check out the link that was given..

I don't know but I thought they were just too cute to not buy one. I use them for sizing little baby gowns in our charity. and for displaying some. Size would be beyond me.. :(

This company makes excellent wire forms, including dress form shapes. I have been quite happy with what I have ordered.

They also are very personable on the phone, and I am sure could help you choose the size that would work for the clothes you make.
