Posted - Aug 09 2007 : 07:21:56 AM i am in need of some crafting felt (not wool) in a variety of colors. i visited my local joann's, but the color choices were terrible. I need it to make hair barrettes, so i need some nice colors for a little girl. do any of you have websites that you use to buy craft felt? thanks!

Posted - Aug 09 2007 : 12:06:29 PM Hey there Amy,
Here is one place I've ordered the felt from: This one is a blend of Rayon and Wool and is very nice weight and has a great hand. Before using it you soak it in warm water and then roll it in a towel and throw in a hot dryer. It shrinks a bit and you have this wonderful wool to play with.

I have other sites where I buy the 100% wool but this wool blend from Cleo and Me is affordable and is just beautiful..
I have to agree with Tasha-Rose...I can't stand that acrylic felt! YUK

Posted - Aug 09 2007 : 11:03:34 AM Amy, I made a whole bunch of hair barettes for my girls with those weird bendy clips and felt. I used some wool felt and some craft felt (I happen to have a serious dislike for craft felt altogether- so it was hard for me to use it.) It's so much fun and super easy to do.
