Nora has outgrown her old cloth diapers for the most part. So today I went and bought more flannel to sew her some more diapers. Yikes! 6 yards only yielded 7 diapers and some scrap material! That was $30! I guess I need to watch out for Jo-Ann's coupons and go get more fabric when it is a bit cheaper. But it is really cute blue fabric with a sleepy grey elephant on it! I can't wait to hem them so she can start wearing them! :)

Wow- I can remember when her butterfly diapers were so huge it was silly the amount of extra material that was for the waist area! And now she needs bigger ones! Amazing!

This was the "Comfort" flannel. They don't carry the diaper flannel anymore which makes me sad. I will take a picture tonight or tomorrow and post. It is super cute! The cute flannel is one of the best parts about cloth diapering is the cool patterns!

Hi, I was just over at Walmart and their medium weight flannel was
$1 a yard. All baby prints. You might want to check it out.

flannels do have different "weights" though. so you will pay more a) if it has a print and b) if it is heavier

do post a picture of the fabric if you have time! I love elephants.

$1.99 a yard! *gasps!* The stuff I bought today was $4.99 a yard!!

Michelle- I think the seam would be too uncomfy but I have thought about using them as soaker pads or something. I might just bleach the stains out and make a faux chenille blankie out of them. Who knows! :)

Our JoAnn's has flannel on sale, on a regular basis, for $1.99 a yard and it seems to be a pretty good quality.

Wonder if it would be possible/desirable to extend their use as Nora grows by sewing borders on them to let them grow with her? Or would that be uncomfortable/leaky? I don't know about sewing diapers, but I just love the idea, and Nora's are so very cute!

We make a difference.

They grow up too fast! Seems like Sullivan was born a couple weeks ago and he is already going to be 6 months in 2 days!
