Ladies, I did not make it to the post office yesterday. Dh's clutch went out on his truck on just as he left to go to town for chicken feed, more lumber, etc., so he took my car to his parent's and borrowed their truck. DD was at work, leaving me no vehicle until after the post office had closed at 4:30.

I went to the post office this morning. Sunshine's package is on its way to her; Sunshine's square is on its way to the other participants.

One other problem. I promised to overnight Sunshine's package to her. Unfortunately, our post office does not offer either overnight or 2nd day delivery guaranteed. I sent it regular mail.

I asked the postmaster again about the original packages and she had no explanation for why they have not yet arrived. I won't blame the postal service -- my dad was a postal clerk for 20+ years and I know that no delivery service is perfect. UPS left my "signature required" wedding invitations, napkins, etc., on my parents' back patio with no covering, no note on the door saying they were there, etc., and it rained that night. Everything was ruined! I've had other negative experiences with UPS and other deliverers, along with great experiences. The postal system is no different. I'm not the only one who complains when a package is slow to arrive, but I rarely notice the numerous times, day in & day out, I get mail on a timely basis. Okay, off the soap box

Anyway, this should be my last post on this unless someone has a question after their squares arrive or something like that.

A note to the ladies who DID send their squares --

Thank you, ladies, for participating as you said you would (even if some of us procrastinated or got behind and didn't get them sent in on time -- who cares in the long run!).

For those who did NOT send theirs --

I understand -- stuff happens. I appreciate that you had good intentions. If you're feeling guilty, don't. You do the best you can and go on -- life is too short for anything else.

As I said, I don't have it, but I will have the farmgirl who received it know it needs to be sent on to you (and, of course, I'll reimburse her postage).

Please email me if you did NOT receive Sunshine's block. Somehow I sent a block to one of the ladies who didn't participate. I had her address in my active file, which was a mistake. So now I'm wondering who I failed to send a block to. This lady contacted me and will send it back to me or on to whoever it belongs to, so as soon as I hear from someone I'll let her know. If I don't hear from someone within a few days, I'll have her send it to Sunshine.

Thanks!

Sunshine, your package with your other squares went out the same day as the package with other people's in it went. I already had the first package ready to go but had mislaid it. I didn't want to cram so many in, so I put the rest in a 2nd padded mailer. I reused one I was going to use for something else and taped (completely over the paper) an address "label" with your new address.

Ladies, after much thought I decided not to participate after all. I did not include mine in the packages and I did NOT keep any of your squares. ALL squares were divvied up and mailed out, so you should have gotten all your squares minus the ones sent to other ladies. I have NO squares that are not mine.

I got some blocks today !?!

I got 4 squares out of the 13 I sent I should have 12 as one was for MJ I was wondering if there is another package with my other 8 squares that I made coming back to me.If so is it in the mail and should I expect it in the next day or two.
I don't have one from pattie either

I really think I should get 13 back as there are not enough to make a quilt for MJ and I can always add it to the group I did for mj from swap 2

The ones I received are from
