Ladies, the envelopes went out well over a week ago. I have visited the Post Office and the postmaster told me she knows they went out. They don't handle that much mail at our little office and she specifically remembers putting them in the bag for pick-up and them going out. I do know that sometimes I get a letter from my sister in Texas the day after she mailed it and other times it takes 4 or 5 days. I really thought you'd have received them by now, though.

Now, I have found I made a goof. I started laying them out, beginning with Sunshine's. A lady from church stopped by with some produce and was going to bring it in, so I picked up Sunshine's squares and her mailing envelope and carried them into ds' bedroom where they would be out of the way, etc. That afternoon when I packaged the squares up, I forgot about Sunshines and just found her package and squares laying on ds' bed. He's away at college, and I don't have need to go in there, so I just didn't see them there. It was my mistake and I am sorry.

I still have everyone's address, so I will send Sunshine's square to all of you tomorrow morning as soon as the post office opens.

Sunshine, I will send your package tomorrow and because of all the inconvenience, I will pay to overnight it to you. I'd mail it today, but the post office is closed for the holiday, of course. I apologize for causing you concern, etc. This may not mean much to you, but I do know how you feel. I've participated in 4 swaps here, 2 of which I never got a thing from my swap partner. The first time, last summer, I was hurt and a bit put out, but I've learned alot in the last few months about judging others and realize that sometimes people do the best they can; their best may seem abysmal (sp) in the eyes of others, but truly they're barely getting by and it truly is their best. So I may not have gotten a thing, but I really did enjoy preparing something for my partner, so it was worth it. Again, I screwed up, am truly sorry for your inconvenience and can understand your frustration.

I understand about the no pay we have not had a paycheck at our house since august of last year almost an entire year now so I understand entirely. That is why I wanted to help in that way. Is because I do understand your situation as we have had a ruff year too with tons of medical and no pay so I do get the picture I hope things improve for both of us soon in that respect.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I really don't want you to pay the postage. This may sound strange, but at this point, even though I have no job and money is tight, what's more important to me is friendship, understanding, trust, that sort of thing. So really, I don't want to be reimbursed. Yes, money pays the bills, but there are things that in the end are much more valuable.
