This is just the coolest thing!
I was in the sewing room a couple week ends ago..
& My husband was talking to me from the other room..
You know how they like to do that..
So.. I got up & went in the living room.. He was actually watching The Home Shopping Channel.. ( ok.. stop giggeling..)
I'm not real sure what he was doing.. Surfing or if he has a crush on one of the Hostess or something .. ANYWAY..
He wanted me to come look at the little tiny Sewing Machines!
They are Made by White.. & come in the most adorable Pastel colors!
( Well I had actually already ordered one about 3 or 4 years ago for My DD Jennifer!) She is not allowed to use mine.. as she share this Gene that my sister has that when ever she get near it.. it is so completely screwed up.. I am in Terminator mode..
SO.. Back to the Mini'S!
I happen to have three neices that live close enough that i buy for.. & they Just so happen to all have July Birthday's!
Mackenzie will be 6, Alexis will be 7 & Zoey will be 9..
Zoey does pretty well with mine.. so she'll be a pro .. Mackenzie is going to stitch over her own finger.. but thats for my brother to deal with.. Alexis.. is going to set up camp in my dinig room for two weeks until she has mastered every single thing it has to possibly show her! Her parents had bought her this pentzy little toy one last Christmas that I hid from her last time I was there out of shear frustration.. on MY part!
So.. THREE ever so CUTE PINK little Sewing machines for my three little sewing terrors! ( becuase they were sold out of purple).. & you know they had to be the same..
They even came loaded down with all sorts of Notions!!
& Aunt Tah will be the hero yet again for another Birthday!

(oh yeah..They were only 19.99 each or something crazy like that!!)

They DO have Bobbins!!
Jenny tried hers a couple times.. Nothing huge of course..
But it worked really well..
So I am SO excited for the girls to get them!!!
They are really going to wear me out this summer though!
Especially the younger two! I have Zoey nearly every weekend.. So she's pretty familier with what she needs to do.. but those other two Monkies.. wow.. especialy Alexis.. Talk about demanding!!
But hey!! The more the merrier!! So get your rumps out here & help me with these little Dears!!!
Blanche.. This may just be the thing for you Girl!!!
At least something to mess around on until you figure it all out!
OR!! Put one on layaway at Walmart!! They have some for about $80.00.. I actually had started to think about that one for Zoey .. But this will be great for right now!!

Like I said.. It came with a box full of little notions too.. I had considered a sewing basket too.. but you know.. that could end up costing me more then the sewing machine did!!
I'm thinking I may make some sort of one.. & get them each a bundle of fabric too.. !
My husband said "What?? just give them some of yours!"
Silly Man!

What a good auntie you are! They will just love that.

Do you s'pose if I get one of those little pink sewing machines for myself and show up on Kathie's doorstep for sewing camp she'd think I was just another little niece she'd forgotten about and take me in???!!

Sounds like FUN!

I haven't seen them. Do they sew a regular stitch (with a bobbin) or a chain stitch?

What a fun gift... I hope this works out well for them to start sewing!
In no time they will be ready for a Viking Huskystar (hint hint!)
You better be careful; they'll all be expecting a machine upgrade on their birthdays every couple years ;)

I saw them on HSN too and fell in love with the pink one! I don't have a sewing machine (yet!!!) and thought about getting one of these to learn how to sew on!!
