pillowcases for embroidery that don't have the finished edge, but rather the holes that you crochet an edging onto? I used to work in a variety store and we sold those, but it is long gone. I want to be able to crochet my lace right onto the pillow and not sew it on later. Anyone seen those on the web or anywhere else?

The wing needle is a great idea! I can do that myself, soon as I get a wing needle. Thanks!

Sherri, I'm not much of a crocheter, but I know what you mean. Have you tried Annie's Attic or Herrschners? I know that Herrschners has carried the hankies that have like a hemstitch at the edge for crocheting. OR maybe you could find a seamstress who is adept at using a wing needle in her machine and can do a machine hemstitch or just a straight stitch with a wing needle, giving you the holes you need for your hook. Good luck!
