Don't know if any of you do needlepoint but have a look at these wonderful ( and oh so pricey kits) www.elizabethbradley.com Yesterday, when I was getting ready to check out at the thrift store, I spotted a box I thought looked familiar and took it out of the cast off cart near the register. It was a brand new complete kit of the Old Glouster spotted hog and piglets! My heart was beating very fast as I turned it over to see the price...yellow sticker $5.95 and it was HALF PRICE!!!! I am a very happy girl! Nothing like a new project for the summer!

I am a slow stitcher when it comes to needlepoint so you may have a long wait! It is usually my project that sits next to "my" chair in the living room for those rare occasions I actually sit down! I am looking forward to working on it. I had a mini kit as a gift once but had no idea how much these were until I found the website so I am very glad I took a second look in the discard cart at the thrift!

Bramble - great find! Have fun with that kit and post a photo when you are done. I am still loving the pillow case skirt you sent to me! So pretty.

I have done some ; I agree they are expensive.
Those are really pretty.
IF you have a JoAnn's, Michales , or AcMoores
AcMoores and Michales have the most needlepoint kits.
If you get a newspaper they have cupons alot that is 40% off
Sometimes , you can really find good buys with the 40% cupon.

What a find! Those kits are $$$. I have been eyeing the toby the pug and the cream cat one for a while. But $$$$ has stopped me.

I would be doing a grand happy dance over that one.
