Since I knew I was having surgery, and would be groggy and bored. I got myself a few kits to make while I was recovering.

I need to get more stuffing, and I have no idea how well it will hold up to 3 boys in a house.... but I think it was pretty... and very easy. I have one more of these felt pillow kits and a few felt stocking kits to make for the boys.

DH has been great taking care of them while I am recovering, since I still am in a lot of pain, There is only so much TV one can watch before it drives you crazy and well, I am not very good at reading with reading glasses yet so I get a headache after about and hour. So I got crafty kits to keep me busy.

I can't leave a post on your site but I wanna come visit and go to Hobby Lobby they have awesome stuff. I liked the fabric with the little bakers and look at all the embroidery transfers.

No it is actually Felt. So it was SO easy to make and no edges to finish. I just picked up 2 more of those kits.... I did post my Hobby lobby finds on my blog.... This is a way I can try an document my craft spending.... it has gotten a little out of hand.

When I had my c-section and hysterectomy, all within one month, it was percodan for me! I got lots done and even felt like being happy with my mom and new baby! Love the pillow!

The pillow is beautiful. I had a C section with my children and had a lot of trouble with the incision since I developed gestational diabetes while pregnant. I know what you mean by a c section being no fun and you hurt a whole lot more.

What a beautiful pillow! And, yes, I agree with the others that doing something crafty to keep your hands busy and take your mind off the pain is good for the recovery!

Saying prayers that everything works out well for you and your family! Kathy T

Good for you, that pillow is great. Having something to do to distract you from some of the pain is also good therapy.
You get better. Later, Carol Sue

I had a baby in Feb by c-section. It had herniated. So I needed to get that fixes. This hurts ten times more than a c-section and you dont get a baby to take home. So I have been laying around and eating vicodin. I have 4 more left, then I have all of these dilaudid left overs from the actual c-section. I will call to see if I can get more. At this rate, I will get all of my kits done and a few other things. When the boys go to bed, I will be cutting a few aprons.... Thanks Clare, But I have 5 more kits to go.
GO Vicodin!

I have no idea what surgery you had, but I sure hope you recover quickly. I know I did embroidery to help me pass the time after surgery. it took me weeks to recover from the anesthesia because I was out for seven hours. If you run out of kits, ask your kids to trace off some embroidery patterns, or email me and I will send you a tea towel to do. i would sit i nthe recliner and stitch in redwork...simple backstitch and one color.
