gosh .. so many great swaps have happened .. what other suggestions do you gurlz have?

do you prefer the one-on-one's or the 'big'guns?

it's easier and faster for me to do one. xo

Kathie Posted - Jun 05 2007 : 2:42:53 PM
A friend of mine at work just came back today from a little vacation out from Texas.. She had been there for a wedding.. & brought me back a couple little things.. ( She's in the Apron picture..but i can't tell you who she is just yet of course!!! )
ANYWAY!!!
She got me the prettiest little china Cup & Saucer that she found in an Antique Store.. BUT.. she found this really fun little POT HOLDER!!
Girls.. we can make these.. Just too easy.. it's made from the back pocket of a pair of Jeans & the front of it is a piece of Fabric with the State of Texas Flag & it's State Flower.. Just Too Cute!!
i'll get a picture together when i can.. but,., the state swapping thing made me want to mention it.. i have to make these too though..
& naturally they will have to have some tacky pink flamingo's or something on them! FLORIDA!!!

E--I thought the burning river was in Cleveland? Marge Schott is dead, and Larry Flynt should be :)
I think I associate Ohio with food...
If you're in the Columbus area, maybe you don't know, but you're sitting on only THE BEST pizza on the planet, and while I'll admit it doesn't travel to well in the mail, you should sing it's praises to anyone you can. Zamarelli's Pizza in Grove City (or Grave City, as my gran called it) is top notch, and has been since the late 50's. Treat yourself! My mom and all relatives were born in Grove City, and I wore red and grey from the time I was an infant. Mom's favorite thing to see on this earth is the band "dotting the I" at OSU games....I just don't think you can take it out of em'!!!!

I realize buckeyes are poison, but not the ones with peanut butter and chocolate!

I try not to impose those kind of rules on people, I understand the theory behind it, but it is most unfriendly and not farmgirl like at all...everyone is welcome here and sometimes life happens and your swap is delayed. We are all out here to have fun and trade fun stuff. Get your posts up Kathy and get true blue girlfriend...jess

I stepped away and wow look at all the chit - chat going on.
Has a project/swap been decided on yet? Aprons? Tea towels,(I never made any of those).

Oh, Kathie, your aprons look beautiful. Now just how big are these mini Aprons? Palm size? I know I looked at someone’s blog. And hers were the size of her hand. They are adorable! And so cheerful too.
I looked on line to try to find a pattern but what I found was a pattern for a "Liquid Dish Detergent" bottle size. I am going to make one for my Mom and Mother in Law. And I am going to resize the Dish Detergent bottle patter to make up a few palm size tonight and tomorrow just to have.
Oh and I finialy figured out that in order for me to become a "true blue Farmgirl" I need to post a few more notes!I guess I will be busy chit-chatting too! There was another swap going on but you had to be true blue. I did not know what they were talking about. I looked around and now I know.

I think the tea towel one has a momma already. Veggies are cool. When I do the state swap, just close your eyes and ignore it. Coffees..teas all very good ideas.
BotanicalBath Posted - Jun 04 2007 : 1:10:48 PM
Ok you are right, there are other things in Ohio... such as a burning river, Larry Flint - this all actually took place in Columbus, Buster Douglas and Marge Schott.... What other gems can I think of?

So, I can swap combustible river-water, a copy of Hustler, Some poison nuts... Gee Wiz who wants to be my partner?

How about Garden Veggie Theme, Coffee or Teas Theme...PS I love tea and tea themed stuff, a Mary Engelbreit themed swap, I would be even up for decorating a dozen tea towels (can you really have too many) .... And I will even host it, just so I dont need to do this Useless nut, Porno and caustic river water thing. I grew up in Mentor, I live in Columbus.... and personally I would love to live on the Ocean.

BTW I would be More than Happy to host a swap... Last swap I hosted (not on this forum) was in was due Feb 15, Had a baby Feb 23, Last box came in Feb 27 and had it shipped Feb 28.

In a World Where you Can Be Anything, Be Yourself..
Kathie Posted - Jun 04 2007 : 12:10:55 PM
ok.. .. I was waiting for the right time-ing
Jessica & i had JUSt been talking about this..

And SO many girls asked me if we could do this after we started Susans mini Apron Swap.. So I thought We'd give it a try after her's were on the way.. then Frannie came back from vacation & she had such a cute idea for her Little Doll Apron Swaps.. i thought we needed to wait for that one to get going..

So.. Now what do you think.. i know i want a nice long Garland.. 10 would be pretty.. but like Jess said.. 20 would be awesome!!!.. But that may be overwhelming.. so maybe we should keep it at groups of 10.. & if you want to actually recieve AND MAKE more then 10 you'd have to sign up for a 2nd group.. .. hows this sound?

ok.. where am i?
i'm not in the Swap & Barter thing am i? i reckon thats where i need to post it.. But I'll wait to see what kind of feed back i get..
Then I'll put all the details together.. & i know we all have quite a few things going on right now with other swaps.. & some other nice friendly non commital type things.. So i'll post it where I should 7 put a note back here once i do..
