My Mom and Grandmother's had materila they called domestick ( sp) maybe.
I have looked in the fabric stores and never have found it
My grandmothers and Mom uses flour sacks too pinkroses

oH Yes flour sacks, I love them....I embroider lovely pictures and color them with crayons and hang them up...Wonderful to look out and know you made them.
There is a trick to the coloring part..I am just getting that down prefectly..I got the tip from Candismom's Tea Towel site...

I use flour sack towels too..more than linene ones..they are harder for me to find.
