Posted - May 22 2007 : 11:35:38 AM Alee Bringing up the Jeans Quilt reminded me something i wanted to tell you all.. Recyling.. or making something else out of something that was previously used in another form.. but still keeping the integrity of what it was.. Georgann's Aprons!!.. Anyway.. Since we did the Pot luck at work on May 14th (National Apron Day..) We have now decided that we need to have a June Potluck that will also be themed as well.. Fathers day Naturally.. Well.. I work in an office environment so ties came to mind.. doesn't sound like a big deal.. but everyone is going to wear a tie.. Now, I think what MOST of them are thinking is looking for some sort of outrageous tie or something.. NOT I !!! about 15 years ago.. I made My daughter & I Vests & Skirts out of ties!!! They are so funny! Now if I can only find mine.. this will be half the battle.. because I know I Still have to have it.. since i NEVER throw anything away.. & secondly.. i wonder if i can still fit my rump into that skirt???????? Wish me luck girls! This could be pretty wild.. compared to Aprons!!

Posted - May 24 2007 : 07:43:45 AM OH absolutley!!! If i can't fit my fat butt in that skirt anymore.. I HAVE to make it into an APRON!!! What a fantastic idea!!! Mikki.. That was terrific!! thank you!! Now I just have to find it.. i found Jennifer's vest.. the other's all have to be here somewhere!
I think an Apron is actualy a BETTER idea then wearing it as a skirt anyway.. these old legs aren't what they used to be you know!!!

Posted - May 23 2007 : 11:25:18 AM G. If ya make a "tie apron" it will have to go in the photo scrap book for M.J. I can see it now, aprons from mens shirts, ties, pillow cases, tablecloths etc....and all the brave women who have fun making & wearing them.... tata-4-now
